Training Courses and the Experience of Different States

This research includes two short studies. The first one is about what makes for a good training course and the second one is about how people perceive themselves in different situations and states.

As a participant in this research, you should read and understand the following:

  1. All participants must be 18 years of age or older.
  2. All participants must be fluent in reading and writing in English.
  3. If you are completing this survey via Amazon's Mechanical Turk, you will be asked to provide your Mechanical Turk Worker ID. Please note that you must input your Worker ID correctly, or else we will not be able to pay you for your time.
  4. Because your participation is voluntary, you are free to stop participating at any point. If you wish to stop at any point simply close your browser window. You are also free to refrain from answering any of the questions in the study.
  5. All participant responses will be completely anonymous. In other words, you will not be identified in any presentation or publication of this research.
  6. There are no foreseeable risks associated with your participation. Nevertheless, for your protection, the researchers have obtained ethical approval for the administration of the project from the University of Edinburgh Psychology Research Ethics Committee.
  7. Initiation of the study is evidence that you have read this form and voluntarily agree to participate in this research.
